The Trax Cafe’, located at the Chamber of Commerce Building, corner of Main & Cherokee, hosted a wonderful night of storytelling on September 13th. There was a packed house and they are now looking at hosting another evening of storytelling in October.
5 storytellers from the Jonesborough Storyteller’s Guild gave us a splendid evening of stories.

There are two new additions to Downtown Kingsport’s neighborhood; The Cutting Edge and the Suzanne Barrett Justis Fine Arts Studio and Gallery.
The Cutting Edge, at 108 East Market, is owned by Suzann Trent. It is a full service salon offering skin care, nail service, cosmetics and all services in hair. Additionally, Suzann does photography for weddings and modeling. Suzann can be contacted for appointments at (423) 245-2285 and (423) 863-6107. There are also positions now available for a nailtech and skin care technician.

Suzanne Barrett Justis has moved her fine arts studio in next door to The Cutting Edge. The studio and gallery is located at 110 East Market Street. She officially opened her studio in March 2007 and is open on Mondays and Fridays 9 to 5 and can always be reached for appointment.
When she is not working in the studio she is also working on several large murals in the area. She just recently finished one at Lincoln Elementary and is also working on a mural in the History Room of the Civic Auditorium. This mural will show the history of the area and of the city of Kingsport.
Suzanne also specializes in pet portraits (especially dogs and horses), landscapes and also abstract paintings. She enjoys home consulting with people to create paintings to fit the decor of specific rooms pulling in colors and themes.
