River Mountain Antiques and Primitives opened Aug. 1 at 334 Commerce St., in Downtown Kingsport. The business offers a variety of antiques and rustic primitives. Right now there is a 10% discount off Fall wreaths.
“Rock tables and benches handcrafted from slabs of siltstone framed in cedar, sourwood, and locust provide a woodsy cabin cozy feel. Ducks, swans, and other wood carvings add to the shop’s rustic uniqueness,” according to the release.
The materials for many of these primitives were salvaged from downed trees on River Mountain in Christians Bend and an 1800s log cabin in Hawkins County. The shop also offers a selection of antiques from various periods and styles, as well as locally made jewelry and artwork.
The business is open from 10 am to 5:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. The store is close Sunday and Monday. For more information, call (423) 247-8663
