I love the incite, enthusiasm and “knowledge base” of your pioneer participants on this blog. I believe they are hitting the target! Two things you might want to keep in mind – (1) locally owned businesses keep atleast three times as much money in your community and state and (2) promotion of everything your downtown has to offer (both new and old) is critical to your downtown’s success! Best wishes. Tim

I would love to see a Costco come to town. Especially now that Sam’s Club has moved to Johnson City. If anybody has any suggestions on how we can encourage Costco to bring one of their Warehouses to Kingsport, please let me know. I believe it would be a great asset to bringing more growth to local businesses.

Cynthia,
Contact the Costco and request they look into Kingsport as an option. Additionally, any store, restaurant, or business you would like to see in Kingsport, contact them directly with your request. Give them as much information about Kingsport as possible. My wife and I have already contacted over 30 businesses and the list is growing.

I own two buisnesses downtown, most of downtowns traffic was people paying power bills at antiques on broad. Boy has that changed. People are living , shopping and eating here now.
I would love to see a Grocery store come. It would be best to have a natural foods grocery store, it would serve the downtown and draw buisness from other areas too.. people still drive to johnson city for natural groceries..
I own Xcellerated Fitness and JL Madison Hair Salon.. love your articles

Hello Charles,
Sorry I didn’t have you on there already. If you’d like to email me an article detailing all that Copper Creek offers, how long you’ve been in Downtown Kingsport, any pictures, or other links, I can make a post on the blog. I’ll list your store under florists today.
